Spiral Flute Tap
-- Steady & Reliable Manufacturer --
Product Overview
This tap has helical flutes that pull chips up and out of the hole as it cuts, which makes it the preferred choice for blind holes where chips have nowhere else to go. The helix angle also gives a shearing cutting action that tends to produce a cleaner thread finish in tougher materials than a straight-flute design.
We supply this tap to machine shops and production tapping lines working blind holes in aluminum, stainless steel and cast iron, in both HSS and cobalt (HSS-E) grades across common metric and unified sizes.

Application Fields
- ✓Blind-hole tapping in aluminum components
- ✓Stainless steel blind-hole threading
- ✓Cast iron machine housing tapping
- ✓CNC and hand tapping of deep blind holes
- ✓General machine shop production tapping
- ✓Tooling distributor resale to machine shops
Key Advantages
- Upward chip evacuation clears chips from blind holes where they would otherwise pack and risk tap breakage.
- Shearing cutting action from the helix angle tends to give a cleaner thread finish in tougher materials.
- HSS-E (cobalt) grade option extends tool life when tapping stainless steel and harder alloys.
- Coating options (TiN, TiCN) reduce friction and extend service life in production tapping.
- Standard shank and thread class options make it a drop-in replacement in existing tapping setups.
